LINK TYPE ON ROUTE DETAILS D365

Hi Everyone,

Today, I am going to describe one of the less known field in Route details form.

Demonstrated route has 3 operations: Operation 10 and 20 are parallel operations and linked to operation number 30.

First screen shot will show the result of job scheduling if user does not set Link type field: Bu görselin boş bir alt özelliği var; dosya ismi: image-10.png

All operation are planned independently. Operation 10 and 20 begins at the same time and operation 30 begins after the operation which has the latest end date (Operation 20).

But if Link type of Operation number 10 is set as “Hard” and Operation number 20 is set as “Soft” or blank, system considers that once hard linked operation ends, next operation begins and set the next operation’s start date as end date of hard linked operation.

If nothing is changed on Link type, parallel operations begin at the same time but if it is set as shown below, hard linked operation ends with start date of the next operation.

Kind regards.
